Assignment #3: Famous Artwork Revised
Choose a famous art work from history (like the Mona Lisa, Starry Night, etc.) and change at least one element within the picture in a way that changes the meaning of that painting.
First, print out in color the artwork you chose and bring it to class. In addition, create two pencil sketches of two different ideas of how to change the meaning of the original. In class, we will choose the most effective of the two sketches, to be reproduced in a full-color illustration.
The finish is to be painted on illustration board, in the proportions of the original painting.
