Assignment # 4 – The Four Seasons Icon

Bring at least 10 photo references of the seasons (summer, fall, winter, spring) and things associated with them. It may be colors, pictures, objects, text, etc. In class, we will design and create four icons, representing the seasons in full color.

First, develop your ideas into thumbnails. Try to create a simple, graphic symbol for each season while developing a unique style.

Next, we will develop the most successful ideas into four icons, one for each season, and color them using gouache paint.

Once approved, create a large, final version on illustration board for submission.
