Assignment # 3 – Creating a Logo

It is time to practice being a graphic designer!

Choose an object to draw in detail (the old-fashioned way), like a phone, stapler, camera, watch, etc. After approval, draw the object on paper as best you can. Try different angles to get better results. The aim is to come up with a good representation of the object.

Next, scan your drawing and create a simplifyed version of it by reducing some of the details using illustrator. The goal is to make a cleaner and simpler version of your drawing.

The final phase is to create a graphic image in black and white of your object using only minimal detail, while preserving the main shape and idea of what it was originally. This grpahic image will be used as the basis for a logo with the addition of text (a company name). Choose fonts that compliment your design.
