Assignment 6 – Creating A Portfolio Web Site

For your final assignment you will be creating a portfolio web site for your own work.
You will be using the artworks you have created so far in the Digital Arts program, and include your resume and contact info. You will need to create mockups for your designs, a flowchart and plan of the organization of the content, and finally the HTML and CSS files for the real web site.

Part 1 - Preparation

Over the Thanksgiving Break, gather your resources for the site. Collect all your digital files of works you did for each of the art classes you took so far. Digitize drawings and paintings from studio classes like Art 15, 21, 22, and 82.
Using Photoshop, prepare all your digital files for web, size all your files 800 X 600 pixels, at 72 dpi. Bring all these files to our next class.

Part 2 - Planning and Design

Create a flowchart of your site, showing where and how you will organize the content, and a mockup of your design in Photoshop. This web site. is to represent you and your work, so make it look good and distinct!

Part 3 - Building

Create your site in Dreamweaver complete with links, rollovers, images, and text.

You will need to submit the entire site as your final project.
