Assignment # 3 – Animating a Haiku

Haiku is a form of condensed poetry, originally from the Eastern Asia.

Look up some haikus on the internet and choose one to animate. Pay attention to what the poem is talking about and try to visualize it. Create a short story board for your animation, based on your interpretation of the poem.

Next, create the visuals in Flash and animate them according to your story board. No photos are allowed in this assignment. Try to use colors and shapes to better describe the mood of your poem. Pay attention to details and make sure your animation flows and is aesthetically balanced.

Remember, you are training to become a graphic designer, so make it look good!
